At Lancaster Ag our customer support serves two important purposes:
- To receive and process orders for the quality organic products that we offer our customers
- To educate our customers and provide them with helpful information about many facets of sustainable agriculture
Knowledgeable customer support staff members personally answer the phones (717-687-9222) in our call center every weekday from 7 am – 5 pm. The highest volumes of calls are on Mondays and Fridays. If all lines are busy, an automated voice mail requests that our customers leave messages. It is possible to order by phone seven days a week at anytime during the day or night by leaving a message on our voice mail.
Our call center is closed on the following religious holidays:
- Good Friday,
- Easter Sunday,
- Monday Ascension Day and
- Pentecost Monday in the months of May or June,
- Fast Day on October 11,
- Thanksgiving, and
- December 25 & 26.
- Lancaster Ag also closes for a summer picnic and Christmas banquet for our staff members.
- An automated message will inform customers of these closings.

Order blanks, which many of our customers find useful, are included in our monthly newsletters. Please call us if you want to be on our mailing list and receive the newsletters and order blanks. Order blanks can also be found here. UPS can deliver items within 24 hours if orders are placed by noon. Shipment will be received by 10 am the next day.
A very important part of the Lancaster Ag customer support is the education we offer. We strive to be a reliable and convenient resource to all of our customers. Our trained staff members are ready to listen to customers’ problems and answer any questions -- troubleshooting at its best! Our call center team attends workshops presented by professionals to keep current on all issues and to stay updated on the latest research. Lancaster Ag is pleased to allocate time and resources to keep our staff members informed.
The following are areas in which our customers can readily receive information and advice by calling our customer support team.
- Support: Cover crop seeds, frost seeds, over-seeding, inner-seeding, re-seeding, seed combinations, rates per acre and what works for specific areas.
- Analysis and Testing: Soil samples, plant tissue and water quality.
- Fertilizer: Fall nutrient dry blends, limestone, top dress, side dress, row support, foliar, everything from intensive produce to corn to alfalfa to tree fruits.
- Feed Rations: Catering to grass-based forage rations for animals such as swine, poultry, rabbit, goat, equine, calf and dairy and developing formulas for these plus working with the home direct marketer.
- Farm Planning: For those customers with whom we work extensively, reviewing what was done the past three years and planning ahead for the next three in reference to soil, forages, livestock, and the end products.
- Vegetable Production: Using soil samples, walking through fall nutrients, spring top dress, spring planting, and fertilizers – drip, foliar, or irrigation.
- Organic Veterinary Care: Professional veterinarian Dr. Paul Dettloff is on staff to answer questions and give assistance.
- Other areas of support are Calf-raising Protocols, Foliar Feeding and Human Nutrition
