Pallet Program

Lancaster Ag Products has a program in place for pallet shipping. This shipping program allows our customers in Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, parts of Minnesota, parts of Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and parts of Wisconsin, the option of having a pallet of up to 3,000 pounds gross weight shipped to them for approximately $110.00. This program is also available to customers in South Carolina, Georgia and parts of Louisiana at a slightly higher rate. These shipments usually are received by the customers in these states in one or two business days. Deliveries to more remote areas may take three business days. Please contact us for spot quotes and volume discounts for areas not serviced by our pallet program.

We strongly encourage our customers to group their order with others in their area to take advantage of this reduced shipping cost. The shipment can be delivered to one local address, and the other customers can then pick up their orders at the place of delivery.

The place of delivery must have enough room for a tractor trailer to be able to get in and out. We urge farmers who use the pallet program to be sure the truck can access their unloading area and that they are there to unload it quickly. The cost of shipping is figured into the pricing of this system and lack of attention to these details may ruin the program for everyone. If the delivery area has limited access for the trailer, $70 may be charged to the purchaser.

The shipment must be unloaded immediately to avoid a waiting surcharge from the trucking company. Any waiting surcharge from a trucking company will be billed to the customers involved in the shipment. Arrangements must be made to finish unloading the truck within 15 minutes of arrival or purchasers must pay $60 extra. If the trucker has to leave and attempt delivery another day, a charge of $6 per hundredweight, with a minimum of $65, will be assessed.
